7 of Coins
The seven of coins is a card of... opportunity. At this point in time, risks that were taken in the past or ideas that had been thought of to generate material wealth haven't quite panned out the way they were expected. Because this is a card of opportunity, it doesn't mean that these things won't happen, they just won't happen now. There are many more chances to spin the wheel; the point is, don't give up and get mad, just know that right now, focus needs to be on inner wealth (good health, good company, positive thoughts) and the time for material gains will surface when the time is right.
Today I focused a good part of my day on digital cameras. Remember the days before digital cameras? Remember having to look through the little viewfinder window to see all that you wanted to capture on film? Remember not being able to see the picture until it was developed? Well, today was a vivid reminder of those days. You see, as I turned on my camera today to take a couple of shots of my "card of the day", my little LCD screen stared back at me all blank and white. That's right, no cute little screen to see my image before I take it to make sure I have captured it all, and no screen to let me see the outcome of my handi-work. After changing the batteries (several times) and hitting the power button (several times), still no change. I had to, ack!, use the small little viewfinder window to take the picture, and then put my memory card in my laptop to see how the picture came out! After 3 rounds of take picture, insert card, I was finally able to post a decent photo.
As I'm sure you can tell, this frustration led me on a search for an affordable digital camera. To repair mine would cost $91, and for about $10-15 more, I can get a brand spankin' new one with more megapixels! Only problem is, I don't have an extra $100 or so laying around all willy-nilly. Instead of getting bummed out and robbing a bank, I decided to chill and actually wait until the funds made themselves available. On top of having to take multiple photos for my "COD" picture, today was an outside family gathering; a place to just snap, snap, snap, my little heart out. Once again, I did not fret. I just borrowed my mom's camera and took the most "necessary" photos.
To make a long story short (too late, I know) the 7 of Coins helped me to realize that my "opportunity" to buy a digital camera is on the horizon, and that I shouldn't get upset or angry because there are so many more chances to spin the wheel. Today was a day of hanging out with good people, having good fun, eating good food, and celebrating good health.
Until tomorrow...
